Saturday Afternoon

Well I am going to admit that I have been absolutely lazy today! The only thing I have done was dishes and I guess I will fold a basket of clothes. lol I just have no motivation today I have been a big ball of stress and am always worrying about everything.


I just wanted to share something with everyone. I don't know how many of you actually keep up with the sex offender registry or not. But you should, I always check it about every 3-6 months. I encourage everyone to do the same. I must confess though that I haven't checked it in awhile. What spurred me to check today was the fact that my best friend had a run in with someone that is on it for rape. She didn't know and it could happen to anyone but against her better judgment she gave this person a drive home. But this man was in her house with her and her daughter with her boyfriend asleep in the other room. This man her boyfriend has met and been around but NONE of them even knew of his past.

She decided to get on and do some checking on the sex offender registry in her area. Then BAM she came across his name and picture. She felt sick to her stomach that this man was in her house and around her
 daughter. I felt sick for her knowing this cause it could happen to anyone!! She is like family to me, her and her daughter. I honestly don't know what I would do if something ever happened to either of them. Her daughter is like my own child I would kill for her just like I would mine. You never know who you come into contact with on a daily basis, what their background is or anything. Most of us go by our gut instinct and sometimes it is false and others well we just don't listen to it cause maybe we think "It could never happen to us".

Please check around you and if you have kids show them the pictures of some of them or even print them out so that your children know to stay away from them. Cause let's face it even though we try to instill stranger danger in them and tell them not everyone is friendly. Some of our children will talk to anyone who will talk back and acts nice heaven forbid if that person had a animal or candy or toys with them. So please talk to your children about this! Keep yourself and them informed!

Ok now that I have gotten this posted I am going to go and try to fold that basket of laundry now. I hope everyone has a great and safe weekend.
